I was reading the Constitution and Canons of TEC and came across this article: "title IV: Ecclesiastical Discipline Canon I: Of Offenses for Which Bishops, Priests, or Deacons May Be Presented and Tried, and of Inhibitions Section 1. A Bishop, Priest or Deacon of This Church Shall Be Liable to Offenses, Presentment and Trial for the Following Offenses, viz.: (a) Crime (b) Immorality (c) Holding and teaching publicly or privately, and advisedly, any doctrine contrary to that held by this Church. (d) etc.............." It seems clear that many in authority today are violating item (c). How can we bring this to their attention?

Dear GTE, Thank you very much for taking the time to check out my blog. I appreciate it. I guess my response to following authority would be along the lines of Paul advising the Galatians and Corinthians not to follow anyone who is leading you down the wrong road. We are required to obey our leaders, but only if they're leading us in the right direction. I like what you said about the instruments of the Service. I find that very encouraging. Personally, I just hope that division is not the answer and that unity and clarity of purpose will be the ultimate solution for this gigantic problem. Thanks again!

Sorry GTE - I am NOT under her authority - I certainly did not vote for her and because of her anti Biblical remarks I have absolutely no alligience to her. My parents have probably turned over in their graves - and we thought Barbara Harris was to be the ultimum !
